Spectacular Pierre Cardin haute couture designer dress dating back to his 1966 fall-winter collection. In 1951 Cardin opened his own couture house and by 1957, he started a ready-to-wear line; a bold move for a French couturier at the time. The look most associated with Cardin is the "Space Age" collections of the 1960's which made some of the most futuristic clothing of the era. This stunning green wool crepe dress is a perfect example of his genuine. The construction of this garment is amazing- the bold turtleneck design works flawlessly with the cut-out bodice. I adore the a-line silhouette which is so figure flattering. A beautiful piece of wearable couture history. "The clothing I prefer are those I invent for a life that doesn't yet exist, the world of tomorrow!" Pierre Cardin
